My name is Ines Kodym, I’m a 28-year-old independent artist living in Matzendorf, where much of my artwork is created. Art has been part of my life since childhood — a passion passed down through my family. My uncle was a painter, and my father nurtured my love for creativity early on.
I received formal training at Hegelgasse 12 High School in Vienna’s 1st district, where I studied art history, painting, and performance. Despite this foundation, I also consider myself partly self-taught, as I explored many techniques independently growing up.
Art is essential to me — a way to connect with myself and the world. I also play the piano, and for me, music and painting are deeply intertwined. Both are expressions of the soul and help me find peace and clarity.
Over time, I’ve developed a love for acrylics, watercolor, and working with gold leaf. My inspiration comes from nature, music, and feminine energy, which often flows into my work.
I prefer to paint spontaneously, allowing emotions and intuition to guide the process. My goal is to create honest, heartfelt pieces — and to share this emotional resonance with those who view my art.
