Swedish roots and a love of nature are the formative elements in my life. After growing up and spending most of my working life in Vienna, where the city’s rich cultural heritage sparked my interest in art, especially in modern painting, I moved to the lush Styrian Enns Valley in 2009.
Here I have since found time and leisure to develop my creative vein. After exploring the art forms and honing my skills by attending a series of art classes, in Austria and abroad, I have become particularly fond of abstract acrylic painting. My philosophy of "expect the unexpected" drives my creative process, leading me to often incorporate natural materials such as pigments, garden soil, ashes, coffee, rust or stone powder into my works. My gestural application of paint conveys a power that draws from the unconscious at the moment of creation and makes visible what words often cannot name.
