Andriy Belokurov

I am an artist who consciously began my creative journey at the age of 58. For me, painting has become more than just a new activity – it is a profound discovery, like a door into a world that has always existed within me but remained silent for a long time. I do not strive to copy reality; instead, I search for echoes of my emotions within it. Each brushstroke feels like a breath: it is born from within, carries the energy of the present moment, and preserves it on the canvas. My works are an attempt to unite silence and movement, memory and dream, inner chaos and the longing for harmony. I enjoy experimenting with shapes and colors, letting them speak to one another and reveal unexpected meanings. My paintings contain no final answers – rather questions that invite dialogue. Art has become my path to self-discovery, a way to see life more deeply and at the same time offer the viewer a chance to find something personal within my works. Every painting is not only my story, but also a mirror for those who look at it.
