Chantal Barthelemy ANDREA

In my artworks, I combine the meticulous know-how of painting restoration conservation enriched of Chinese technique and my own imagination, which allows me to express myself in harmony with my personality, made of experience and personal quest.

I’m born near Marseille and I live in Provence, near Avignon. From a very young age, I showed my interest in painting, which became my refuge. My grandfather Louis Barthelemy was a professional artist. He intrigued and captivated me in his way to play with colors. I developed my technique, firstly by studying art restoration for four years in a prestigious atelier in the south of France. And secondly, by going to China to study Chinese painting at the Hangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. I have participated in numerous international art projects.
