Hyojin Kim

I majored in art education at a university in South Korea and taught art to students of various ages. I started living in Poland a few years ago and participated in various international art exhibitions. (Britain, Czech Republic, Hungary, France, Austria) Europe where has many beautiful scenery and architecture is a very interesting place for me as an Asian. So, what I felt and saw while traveling is mainly the subject of my paintings. We can't remember everything in our life. Things in everyone's memory will be slowly forgotten someday. Like traveling, I often thought that I wanted to remember happy moments and positive experiences for a long time, and I decided to record many emotions I felt or beautiful and comfortable moments in my daily life. Painting is not only beautiful, but also has the power to convey emotions and feelings. I work with the hope that the happy times I have experienced will capture the emotions of people who see my artworks. The main feature of my work is to place two different images alternately to emphasize the visual stimulation and the characteristics of each object more to maximize the effect of the close and far distance of objects, the contrast between the complementary colors, and the contrast between the natural and the artefacts. In addition, the meaning of the part where images are obscured as they combine with each other can be explained as part of our emotions and memories that gradually erase and disappear.
