Kateryna Nazarenko is a Ukrainian painter from Kyiv currently based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Art is the heartbeat of her existence, a compelling force that shapes her life and gives voice to her innermost emotions. She has always been enchanted by the ability to capture moments of beauty and translate them into visual narratives. In 2020, she began working with watercolors and has devoted herself entirely to this medium. Her work is inspired by the interplay of color, light, and the natural world, exploring both external beauty and inner emotions. Through watercolors, Kateryna finds a unique ability to breathe life into her artistic expressions on paper. Kateryna's current focus is on portraying the sea as a reflection of human feelings and emotions, capturing the continuity of life and the depth of emotions reflected in nature.
By 2021, her work gained international recognition, and in 2023 alone, she participated in over 10 international exhibitions. She also became a Regular Member of the Japan International Watercolor Institute (JIWI). Notably, her artwork was selected among the TOP 50 landscape paintings at the prestigious “Exposition Internationale d’Aquarelles Albi -2023.”
Kateryna’s journey as an artist is a continuous exploration of the world and her emotional landscape through the delicate medium of watercolor.
