My name is Victoria Böttche and I was born in 1982 near Hamburg, Germany. After completing degrees in Iranian Studies and Social Work, I founded my own institution dedicated to supporting people with mental health challenges, with a special focus on creativity.
Creativity has accompanied me throughout my life — shaped both by my family background and by the many highs and lows I have experienced. Last year, I returned to painting. An inner energy and a deep need for expression led me back to art.
My works symbolize letting go of the past, consciously experiencing emotions and energy in the present moment, and looking toward the future. I primarily work with acrylic on canvas. The foundation of my paintings is created using an impasto technique with acrylic paint and brushes. From there, each piece develops intuitively through mixed media art, using palette knives, spray bottles, sponges, paint rollers, and various everyday objects I encounter, such as bottle brushes.
At present, my artistic work focuses on themes of energetic states and life lines.
