Whether channeling the dramatic, candle-lit chiaroscuro of the 18th century, the mythological archetype of the Phoenix, or the raw, expressive portraits of the modern woman, the core of my work remains unvaried: it is a psychological mapping of the human soul. Through my ongoing series, most notably 'Zustand der Frau' (The State of Woman), I investigate pivotal moments of internal transformation—capturing the weight of silent trauma, the visceral release of a scream (Schrei), and the ultimate, radiant transition into liberation (Befreiung). By seamlessly shifting through different eras and symbols, I aim to demonstrate that while societal backdrops, costumes, and technologies evolve, the core emotional syntax of human suffering, resilience, and rebirth remains timeless. My canvas is a mirror to those unspoken, defining thresholds where the spirit breaks, heals, and ultimately catches fire.
