After three years of testing initial ideas and implementing concepts with small projects in Vienna's eighth district, such as the "publicartists exhibitionspace", we finally found a location in September 2022 that lives up to our vision with 330m2 of space and a room height of 4 metres within sight of the Vienna State Opera. A place where unknown and well-known artists can present their great works in a professional environment.
CITYgalleryVIENNA stands for a completely rethought art world that brings affordable art to the people without inhibitions and puts artists in the spotlight. We place cordiality and professionalism on the same level and offer artists and art lovers an incredible variety. As we change around a third of the works every week, it is definitely worth visiting regularly to marvel at the 300 works by more than 30 artists every day!
We see ourselves as a collective of artists. With us, the artists are part of the gallery, which is why we don't take any commission on sales and the total proceeds from the works sold go directly to the artists. In this way, we are also genuinely happy about every sold work that finds a new owner through our contacts, even if it was never on our walls!
And publicartists is even more! We offer artist profiles, websites for artists, virtual galleries and mediation between artists, galleries and art lovers worldwide!
