I live and work in Söll, Tyrol and have always painted. I make encounters the subject of my paintings. On my numerous journeys and in my surroundings, spontaneous events captivate me. I observe the unspectacular and simple but for me special situations, the colours, the shapes, the mood of the place. My curiosity is about the circumstances of people, their being there and meeting, and the space they occupy. I sketch these worlds from many pictures and fragments from my memory and try to capture the impression of the moment, to reproduce the fleeting glimpse in my painting. In this way it becomes something permanent. The way of painting is adapted to the events, quickly it often appears fleeting. In this way, it captures the moment and gives it expression.
