My profession as a psychotherapist is not so far removed from writing or painting. All three require good powers of observation and sensitive perception in order to understand and realise emotional events.
My passion for painting began in 1999 with exclusively watercolour painting until 2003, after which I was quite busy as a psychotherapist with individual lessons, lectures, seminars and meditation evenings. But my passion for painting has never left me, so since 2016 I have dedicated myself intensively to painting again and since 2019 I have even devoted myself exclusively to painting and writing. This was followed by an exhibition in Turkey, a solo and group exhibition in Bremen, exhibitions in doctors' surgeries, four exhibitions in Vienna, a four-week Christmas exhibition in Pirna and an exhibition in Jena in 2022.
Only a few of my pictures are given a name (except for exhibitions), all my pictures are accompanied by a lyrical text from me. You can find examples to read on my website in the section „When pictures speak“, or on my Facebook page.
People are one of my favourite motifs. But landscapes, fauna and flora, from figurative to abstract, can also be found in my pictures. I use a wide variety of techniques. From watercolour to acrylic, from pencil and charcoal to polychromos and prismacolor, to the most diverse mixed techniques.
