Edeltraud Thier

Edeltraud Thier is an artist with Waldviertel roots. After graduating from high school, she qualified as a teacher of visual education and English. In addition to teaching, she has always been active as an artist and, as chairwoman of the Zwettler Kunstverein, she also ran the BLAUGELBE GALERIE at Schloss Rosenau. She has lived in Vienna since 2000, where she studied art history, among other things. Her paintings and collages in an abstract-expressive style have been presented in numerous national and international exhibitions, e.g. Hotel Marriott Innsbruck, Galerie ART and BUSINESS Zurich, IBIZA ART FAIR and BORDERS ART FAIR in Venice. In her unmistakable works of art - her themes are mostly emotions and moods - you can sense her joy in the interplay of strong colours, different structures and materials. Her diverse oeuvre also includes geometric compositions, which are realised in an aesthetically refined form with great detail and precision.
