Shall we introduce ourselves? Let’s start with our names: my name is Erwin Watzina and I am a 46-year-old artist. I discovered my love of art more than 30 years ago, but I was never able to pursue it fully because I have problems with my fine motor skills due to a disability. But when I met my wife, Petra Hähnel – also 46 – things changed. Petra grew up with an artistically gifted father and learnt to handle brushes and pencils with precision from a young age, but she always found it difficult to paint backgrounds and landscapes. Neither of us painted much until we met. Our strengths were each other’s weaknesses, which is why we paint our pictures together and are rediscovering our love of art.
