




















Juan Jorge Bautista is a visual artist from Oaxaca, Mexico, who lives in Vienna. He works with various artistic techniques, but his favourites are collage and assemblage. He studied Fine Arts at the Facultad de Bellas Artes of the Universidad Autónoma "Benito Juárez" de Oaxaca (UABJO) and at the Taller de Artes Plásticas "Rufino Tamayo" in Oaxaca. His visual works have been exhibited in galleries, cultural centres, universities and museums in several countries. He holds a degree in Law and Social Sciences and a Master's degree in Philosophy of Law and Politics from UABJO, as well as a Master's degree and a PhD in Advanced Studies in Human Rights from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. He is an academic at the Faculty of Law of the JURIDIKUM of the University of Vienna and a researcher at the IDEAZ Institute for Multicultural and Comparative Research in Vienna. He has published scientific and literary articles in specialised journals and has written several books on multiculturalism, art, law and politics.
