Short biography of Karin Eisler Born in Vienna, Karin Eisler lives and works with her family in Lower Austria. After graduating from secondary school, she worked for 14 years in PR and marketing/product management. During this time she worked intensively with painting on silk, leatherwork, glass art and designing costume jewellery. She began working with clay in 1993. As a self-taught artist, she continued to study on her own and attended workshops and courses with renowned artists.
From 2004, she focussed on figurative clay design and also began acrylic painting. This resulted in the development of so-called clay paintings, which, alongside clay paintings and sculptural work with clay, formed the centre of her work for several years. From 2009 onwards, she focussed her work on the use of natural and structuring materials such as pigments, oils, marble flour, marsh lime, etc. Karin Eisler is a trained creative trainer and painting and design therapist. She has taught courses at adult education centres for many years and also gives private art courses. She regularly takes part in solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
