I am KLAUS MAIER, born on 7 April 1948 in Villach, Carinthia.
I spent my childhood and youth in Villach and the surrounding area, as well as in Mölltal in the Hohe Tauern. I then taught word processing and office management - first for 20 years at the hotel management school in Villach, then for 20 years at the HAK Ibc in Vienna Hetzendorf. I have been retired for more than ten years and now live in Vienna.
Drawing and writing have always been my hobbies. A stroke in spring 2018 resulted in left-sided paralysis, which prompted me to take up watercolour painting. Stays in India, Central Africa, the British Isles, several visits to Florida and, last but not least, Austria and the Alps motivated me to paint landscapes.
