<p>Dorota Henk was born in 1968 in southern Poland. From 1983 to 1988 she attended the "Technikum Tkactwa Artystycznego'' in Zakopane, Poland, where she graduated in art weaving in 1988. She has lived and worked in Vienna, Austria, since 1998. In addition to art weaving, Dorota Henk also devotes herself intensively to painting. Through the use of various mixing techniques, patches of colour merge with each other to create explosions of colour, depending on the mood and atmosphere. The partly expressionist, partly abstract works not only express the artist's emotions, but also transfer their energy to the viewer. One of the artist's specialities is the combination of abstract painting and woven fabrics as well as the use of golden accents of all kinds. Due to her love of experimentation, she is always enthusiastically working on something different or new.</p>
