Painting as a counterbalance to my number-heavy job in the consultancy sector – my life has changed fundamentally ever since. When I paint, I leave everything behind and immerse myself in another dimension. Without a care in the world, in the here and now. With my brush dipped in paint, I begin to give shape to the blank sheet of paper or canvas. In these moments, I rediscover my experiences, and my innermost self can express itself on the surface. I explore various themes and techniques, often drawing inspiration from nature. As a passionate hiker, I spend a lot of time outdoors, taking in impressions from the landscape. Contemplating the works of Georgia O’Keeffe and Max Weiler, but above all Per Kirkeby, allowed the creative force within me to grow and blossom. I have nearly three decades of painting behind me. Today, I reflect on my uniqueness.
