Ricardo Jung

Born to create, I, Ricardo Hagen, came into this wonderfully colourful world in 1987 in Leipzig, the city of poets and thinkers. In my early years, I discovered my love of colour and experimented with all sorts of techniques. But no matter which way I looked, it was always just a copy of a copy. Yes, the direction of the brushstroke and the flow of the hand always create new motifs, but the technique meant that, for me, it was just another simple copy of my art. I appreciate every artist who makes the world more colourful, but I wanted more. I wanted to create something new, a new technique that would truly make my art unique. So I decided to stop being influenced by the outside world and go my own way. I’ve always been very spiritual; perhaps it was innate. Most people don’t really realise just how powerful water can be, nor its true strength – which we can influence both positively and negatively simply through our emotions. This is how my works are created today, depending on my emotions. My technique consists of high-quality colour pigments, structured water and a touch of magic.
