Salvo Naccari, an artist and designer born in Palermo, is best known for work that takes an ironic look at consumer culture. His paintings frequently draw on well-known figures from the news, using them as a lens through which to examine the defining issues of our time. He is the founder and director of SN DesignItalia, a creative studio comprising furniture designers, artists, graphic designers and interior designers. The work produced by SN DesignItalia led Salvo to expand into event promotion, organising meetings, exhibitions, outreach activities and promotional events to bring the creativity of Sicilian designers and artists to a wider international audience. He has fostered ongoing collaborations with leading Sicilian artists to create a production network united by a shared interest in what it means to be Sicilian today. With this aim in mind, he has organised numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In recent years, he has increasingly turned his focus to painting. Drawing inspiration from the most prominent figures in the news, he has built up a substantial collection of artworks. Through these pieces, he constructs witty, paradoxical narratives whose pop energy has struck a real chord with the public.
