Sonja Đurić, rođena u Zagrebu, Hrvatska, već vise od četiri desetljeća istražuje slikarstvo kao slobodan i otvoren proces, krećući se između apstrakcije i naznaka prepoznatljivog oblika.

Njeni radovi nastaju iz geste, iz srca, boje i slojevitosti, gdje se motiv pojavljuje i nestaje, ostajući na rubu prepoznavanja.

U velikim formatima ulja na platnu oblikuje prostor između unutarnjeg doživljaja i vizualne asocijacije. Slike ne opisuju, već sugeriraju - ostavljajući promatraču slobodu osobnog čitanja i emocionalnog odgovora.

Her works are created from the gesture, from the heart, from colour and layering, whereby the motif appears and disappears and remains on the edge of recognisability.
