The human body shows us many things. It does not only mean anatomy and medicine. Rather, it is a projection surface for the most diverse feelings, emotions and fantasies or simply the image of human nature.
In art, the classical nude has always been the master discipline. Nowhere else is so much technical skill, anatomical knowledge, feeling for proportions, colors and shadows demanded of the artist as here. And nowhere else are the smallest mistakes punished more by the overall result.
Once you dive into this topic as an artist and "let off steam", it's hard to get away from it again. And you can see that in this extraordinary exhibition, which we show in our exhibitionspace 1080 Vienna, Laudongasse 58 Monday to Friday from 15-19Uhr.
We would like to point out that in the period 14.02.2022 to 25.02.2022 painted depictions of naked human bodies are shown in whole or in part. There are no sexual acts or pornographic content to be seen. The decision as to whether children and young people are allowed to see this exhibition is entirely in the hands of their parents. Unfortunately, we had to reject parts of the entire spectrum of this topic this time for reasons of youth protection and implementation.
